Redcliff- The search for seven suspects wanted in connection with the murder of Chrispen Ndlovu Siyamaingo at the Mainini Business Centre in Redcliff is ongoing, nearly two years after the incident.
According to police reports, on the evening of the incident, 22 March 2022 Ndlovu was at the business center enjoying drinks with three companions when the suspects, identified as Webster Mlauzi (26) from Village 3B Sosombe 3, Kwekwe, and Handsome Matambo (18) from Village Marumisa, Gokwe North, allegedly stormed the venue armed with knobkerries, spears, knives, and stones.
A disagreement quickly escalated into a violent confrontation, prompting Ndlovu and his friends to flee in different directions to escape the chaos. Witnesses reported that Ndlovu was pursued by the suspects towards a nearby railway line.
Tragically, on March 25, 2022, at around 9:30 AM, Ndlovu’s lifeless body was discovered near the railway line in Redcliff, marking a grim conclusion to the night of violence.
The police are now appealing to the public for assistance in locating the remaining suspects: Phatisani Ndlovu, Kenneth Sibanda, Decent Ncube, Liberty Ngwenya, and Prince Joka, whose village details are currently unknown.
